【摘要】:1.1Thisguidecoverstheselectionanduseofproceduresfortestingvarnishes.SometestmethodsareincludedbutmostsectionsrefertospecificASTMtestmethods.1.2Varnishesmaybeappliedundersuchdiverseconditionstosomanydifferentsurfaces,andtheirdriedfilmsmaybesubjectedtosomanykindsofwearandexposure,thatitisnotpossibletoassuredesiredperformancefromasingleselectionoftestmethodsandnumericalresults.Thoseskilledinvarnishtechnologymayfindpartialassuranceofobtainingdesiredqualitiesinvarioustypesofvarnishesthroughcarefulselectionofthemethodscoveredandintelligentinterpretationofresults.1.3Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operationsandequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
